Nuts and Dry Fruits Council (India)

The First Step Towards a More Aligned Industry

Event Date: 1st May, 2026

At Nuts and Dry Fruits Council (India), we believe that a strong nuts and dry fruits industry grows when people come together, share ideas, and move in one direction. With this belief at the centre, the Council hosted its first Virtual Members’ Meet on 1st May.

The session included discussions around the Council’s role in supporting and growing the industry. Members were updated on key initiatives being taken with organisations like ICAR, NITI Aayog, FSSAI, Legal Metrology, APEDA, and NIN. The focus stayed on improving standards, creating better systems, and building stronger support for the trade.

An important part of the discussion was also around the upcoming elections for the Governors, who will serve as regional representatives of the Council. The process and framework were clearly explained to all members, bringing clarity and encouraging wider participation.

Step by step, through constant effort and close coordination with stakeholders, the Council continues to work towards strengthening the nuts and dry fruits ecosystem in India.

The next Virtual Members’ Meet is scheduled for 27th May 2026.
