From California to India: Shaping the Future of Fig Trade

The Nuts and Dry Fruits Council (India) participated in an interactive workshop on California Figs, held alongside Food Ingredients India on 4th September 2025 at Expo Inn Suites and Convention, Greater Noida. The session brought together Indian and international stakeholders to explore the growing potential of figs in nutrition, wellness, and the food industry.

Key highlights included insights from Mr. Tom Payne and the California Fig Advisory Board (CFAB), a live culinary demonstration by Chef Shorya Kapoor, and discussions on future collaboration between CFAB and Indian trade bodies.
