Nuts and Dry Fruits Council (India) × California Walnut Board & Commission
Powering Walnut Demand & Market Access in India
Nuts and Dry Fruits Council (India), in collaboration with the California Walnut Board & Commission (CWC), recently hosted an exclusive interaction and trade meet at Khari Baoli – Asia’s largest nuts and dry fruits market.
The Council had the privilege of welcoming Pamela Graviet, Vice President – Integrated Marketing, CWC, for in-depth discussions with India’s leading importers and traders. The dialogue focused on demand trends, quality and grading standards, labelling requirements, logistics and handling practices, alongside strengthening consumer awareness for walnuts in India.
The sessions were practical, data-driven and future-focused, featuring insights from the California Walnut Crop Estimate Forecast as well as a preview of the upcoming Crop Estimate Report for industry stakeholders.
This engagement is a step forward in:
Achieving greater alignment on grades, quality, and labelling expectations
Enabling smoother trade workflows across import, processing, and retail
Enhancing consumer education and awareness on the role of walnuts in everyday nutrition
