NDFC(I) Strengthening Nutrition Conversations at ICMR–NIN, Hyderabad
Event Date: 13th – 15th November, 2025
Nuts & Dry Fruits Council (India) was delighted to participate in the ICMR–National Institute of Nutrition event in Hyderabad from November 13th to 15th, where experts, researchers, and industry leaders came together to advance meaningful dialogue on nutrition, public health, and food systems.
Our team engaged with scientists and nutrition professionals on the expanding role of nuts and dry fruits in balanced diets – from heart and metabolic health to immunity, micronutrient sufficiency, and healthy snacking behaviour. The discussions reinforced what leading research from NIN and global bodies already indicates: regular consumption of nuts and dry fruits plays a vital role in improving dietary quality and long-term health outcomes.
Events like these help create stronger bridges between science, policymakers, and industry. As the apex body representing growers, processors, importers, and exporters of nuts & dry fruits, NDFC(I) is committed to supporting evidence-based nutrition education, responsible consumption, and a more resilient food ecosystem for India.
A sincere thank you to ICMR–NIN Hyderabad for hosting an insightful platform that continues to push the national nutrition agenda forward. We look forward to deeper collaboration in research, farmer capacity building, and public awareness initiatives in the times ahead.
