Nuts and Dry Fruits Council (India) hosted the Curtain Raiser Press Conference for MEWA India 2026 on 15th December, 2025 at the Constitution Club of India, formally unveiling the vision for what is set to be the country’s most globally connected platform for the nuts and dry fruits ecosystem.

With strong participation from industry leaders, policymakers and the media, the press conference underscored MEWA India’s evolution from a trade exhibition into a national platform that integrates nutrition, sustainability, global trade and value addition. Discussions highlighted India’s growing role in processing, packaging and nutrition-led innovation, the Council’s work on affordability and access, and the opportunity to position India at the centre of the global nuts and dry fruits economy.

As NDFC(I)’s signature initiative, MEWA India 2026 will bring together global origin boards, processors, importers, exporters, technology partners and thought leaders on one unified platform—reflecting the scale, credibility and ambition of a sector that is rapidly becoming central to India’s growth story.
