Held from 24th to 26th July 2025 in Mahabalipuram, the All India Cashew Association (AICA) 2025 Convention brought together key stakeholders from across the cashew and dry fruits ecosystem. The Nuts and Dry Fruits Council (India) participated in the convention, marking a significant step forward in implementing the strategic MoU signed between NDFC(I) and AICA at AICA 2024.
The collaboration between NDFC(I) and AICA is a working roadmap designed to strengthen India’s cashew and dry fruits sectors through:
* Joint promotion of platforms such as NDFC(I), AICA, and MEWA India
* Coordinated representations to government ministries on trade and processing policy matters
* Support for domestic raw cashew production through collaboration with FPOs, agri-tech providers, and state nodal agencies
* Co-development of frameworks for quality, logistics, and packaging
* Integrated efforts on research, consumer awareness, and industry promotion
During the three-day event, NDFC(I) showcased its strategic priorities and sectoral leadership, engaging with leading processors, exporters, logistics providers and policy advocates. Discussions focused on advancing climate-resilient farming, traceability standards and modern retail access – key enablers for a future-ready value chain.
The event also offered an opportunity to present insights into the upcoming MEWA India 2026, share sector intelligence and outline the Council’s ongoing initiatives aimed at unifying stakeholders across the dry fruits landscape.
This engagement reaffirmed the shared vision between AICA and NDFC(I): to position cashew, almonds, makhana, walnuts and other dry fruits not just as commodities – but as vital contributors to India’s wellness economy and nutrition strategy.
NDFC(I) remains committed to advancing meaningful partnerships and policy dialogues that strengthen India’s role in global agri-trade and nutri-food innovation.
