The Walnut Workshop cum Plantation Program, held on 29th December 2024 at Uttrayan Chakrata, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, was a resounding success. The program brought together esteemed dignitaries, industry leaders, and stakeholders to discuss and promote sustainable walnut cultivation and plantation practices.

The event commenced with an insightful welcome address delivered by Shri Naveen Nainwal, Vice President of WANGAI, and Colonel Nitin Sehgal, CEO of NDFC(I). Their remarks set the stage for a productive and collaborative day. This was followed by a captivating keynote address by the Chief Guest, Shri Prem Chand Sharma, Padma Shri Awardee, whose expertise and vision inspired all attendees.

A major highlight of the program was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between WANGAI and NDFC(I). This agreement represents a significant step toward fostering innovation and collaboration in walnut plantation and cultivation.

The event was a testament to the collective commitment to advancing agricultural sustainability and left a lasting impact on all participants. We extend our gratitude to Sh. Participants actively engaged in discussions, sharing their experiences and challenges in walnut cultivation. The event culminated with the distribution of sample walnut plants and plantation drive.

This event was a successful collaboration between the Nuts and Dry Fruits Council (India) and the Walnut and Other Nut Fruit Growers Association of India.
